AFTON-Frank C. Cone, 84, of Arispe, died at 8:10 p.m. Saturday at the Greater Community hospital at Creston. He had been a patient at the hospital for about a week and before that was at a nursing home in Creston. He had been in ill health for several months.

Mr. Cone was a retired farmer and had lived in Union County all of his life.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Stroud funeral home at Afton. Rev. Franklin Schwarm will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenlawn cemetery at Afton.

Frank C. Cone was born in Union county, July 31, 1888. He was the son of John and Lestine Hathaway Cone. He was married, Jan, 10, 1912, to Florence Donner who died Oct. 22, 1966.

Mr. Cone is survived by a son, Freeman Cone of Arispe; a granddaughter Mrs Homer Goldner of Eugene, MO.; and two great grandchildren.
