In Remembrance....Robert McFee

Robert (Bob) Mark McFee, 87, of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, passed away December 26, 2008, at the Bethany-St. Joseph Care Center in LaCrosse. There will be cremation and no service. Internment will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery in LaCrosse, Wisconsin

Robert McFee was the youngest child of Blanche (Von Stein) and Ab Mcfee. He was born on September 10, 1921, at Shannon City, Iowa. He was raised in the Shannon City, Creston, and Afton Areas, graduating from Afton High School in 1940. He joined the Navy on Pear Harbor Day, 1941, serving as a Seebee until discharged in 1946. on August 24, 1946, he ws married to Twyla Henricksen in Des Moines, Iowa. Twyla was killed in a car accident north of Creston on August 4, 1986. Bob retired from Dairyland Power of Genoa, Wisconsin.

Bob is survived by sister Edith McFee of Creston; nieces Ellen Von Stein and Kathryn Adams of Creston; nephew John McFee of Creston; cousins Willie McFee of Kent, Donna Neely of Creston and Betty Gustafson of Lenexa, KS; and the special Frankie Jambois family of LaCrosse, Wisconsin.

Bob was preceeded in death by his wife Twyla, parents Ab and Blanche McFee, brother Hugh McFee, nephew Robert Glen McFee, and nieces Mary Sevier and Karen Miller.
