Funeral services for Mattie A. Anglum, 93, of Afton, will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, at St. Edward’s Catholic Church with Fr. Lloyd Connolly officiating. Interment will be at St. Edward’s cemetery.
Mrs. Anglum passes away Tuesday afternoon, October 19, 1976, at the Afton Care Center. She had been a resident there for the past two weeks.
Martha A. (Mattie) Anglum, the daughter of John and Margaret Trouth Heine, was born in Afton on August 19, 1883. She spent the greater part of her life in this community, with the exception of 18 years in California.
Mrs. Anglum was a rural school teacher for 23 years and practiced nursing for 20 years. She was a member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church here.
She is survived by a sister, Anna B. Meyer of Omaha, and several nieces and nephews. The was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
Rosary will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at the Stroud Funeral Home.
