LILLIAN E. DOWLER, Lorimor

Services for Lillian Edna Dowler, 87, Lorimor, who died May 7, 1988, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital, were held Wednesday, May 11, at the Lorimor Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Smith officiating. Burial was at the Beulah Cemetery.

Born in Jones township, Union County, on Jan. 17, 1901, she was the daughter of John H. and Mary Rusk Weber. She was married to Ben Dowler on Nov. 30, 1927 at Mt. Ayr.

Mrs. Dowler was a lifetime resident of the Lorimor area, a school teacher and homemaker. She was a member of the Lorimor Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, James and wife Toshiko of Wood Dale, Ill.; step-daughter, Mrs. Marie Beverlin of Winterset and Mrs. Hazel Weber of Council Bluffs; a stepson, Harold of Omaha, Neb.; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and a stepson.
