W. C. Harrison

Warren Clinton Harrison was born at Cromwell [Union County], Iowa, Dec. 4, 1903 and passed away at the University of Iowa hospitals in Iowa City October 29, 1978. He had been ill since September.

He was married at Cromwell, Aug. 19, 1926 to Mary Baird, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Dale Harrison of Cedar Rapids, Ia. and Harold Harrison of Springfield, Vt.; two grand-children; two sisters, Mrs. Ferne Davis of Cromwell and Mrs. Mima Janky of Findlay, Ohio; and a brother, Glenn Harrison of Creston.

He was preceded in death by a brother and an infant sister.

He had lived all of his life in the Cromwell community until moving to Marion, Iowa, on Nov. 3, 1977. He had retired from farming in 1968.

Funeral services were held at the Cromwell Congregational United Church of Christ, Nov. 2, at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Kenneth Rieter officiating. Burial was in the Maple Hill Cemetery [aka Cromwell Cemetery] at Cromwell.

A memorial has been established for the Cromwell church. He was a member of the church, served as a trustee for many years and as Sunday School superintendent." END
