The sad announcement of the death of Mrs. Henry Jones was made on Friday. It will be remembered that she went to Iowa City and had an operation for tumor of the stomach performed. She came home and appeared to be recovering. All hope in that direction was dissipated by her death which occurred Friday morning about eight o’clock. The funeral was held Saturday and the remains were interred in the Afton cemetery. By her death, a large family of children are left to the care of the husband and father. Mrs. Jones was highly respected for her many noble qualities, and those who have enjoyed the hospitality of their home fully realize her worth. Her death after so much suffering has awakened the profoundest sympathy.
