From data furnished by relatives, we learn that Asa Haggatt who died in Creston a couple of weeks ago, aged 89, was an old resident of the county. He was born at Edgecombie, Maine in 1804 and moved to Union county in 1858, where he continued to reside. He lived in Pleasant township for a time after-ward moving to Creston. He leaves a widow who is a sister of Mrs. S. J. Cass. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Bowman, of the Creston Evangelical church
