The fourteen months old babe of Mrs. Lovilla Austin (nee Bird) was buried on Friday. The little one has been a sufferer all its life, until death finally relieved it of pain. The grief that is felt by the relatives is necessarily tempered by the knowledge that it is perhaps better so; that the passing away of a young and innocent life is sometimes to be preferred to a lifetime of pain and torture. The bereaved family have the earnest sympathy of all. Rev. A. W. Armstrong conducted the funeral services and the burial took place in the Afton Cemetery.
