Afton, Iowa August 10, 1893

John Winter, of Creston, formerly of Lincoln township, died at his home in the former place on Saturday evening, aged nearly seventy-three years. Deceased was the father of P. C. Winter, who, together with the remaining members of the family, will have the sincerest sympathy of the people of the county.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Rev. Father Bede officiating.
