Robert (Bob) C. Deaton, of Des Moines, IA passed away January 12, 2008 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, IA.

He was born January 6, 1929 in Lorimor, IA, to Gertrude and Hobert Deaton. He retired from AMF in 1990 after 35 years of service.

He is survived by his wife Sallie, brother Stanley, & sisters Reva Stratton & Kathleen Hulme, sons Les, Marty, & Brad, daughter Cindy Trimble, stepchildren Cindy, Johnny & Bill Jones, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by wife Delores H. (Heck) Deaton and brother Leslie H. Deaton.

The body will be cremated, with memorial services on Monday, January 14, 2008, at 11 a.m., at Norwoodville Baptist Church (4690 NE 29th St., DM., IA), followed by a reception & lunch.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the family.
