Dixon, Ill.--Frank L. Hatten, 79, 1000 Washington Ave., Dixon, Ill., formerly of Creston, died Tuesday evening at Lee County Nursing Home in Dixon following a brief illness.

His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon. The Rev. Tom Shepherd of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ of Dixon will officiate.

Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Graceland Cemetery in Creston. The Rev. Lester Pearson of the First Christian Church of Creston will officiate.

Mr. Hatten was born March 23, 1901, in Prescott. His parents were George & Eva (Pierce) Hatten. His wedding to Nola Irene Bonham was Oct. 13, 1936 in Indiana. She died March 4, 1978. He was also preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.

He is survived by a son Roy D. Ward of Long Beach, Calif.; a daughter Norma (Mrs. Robert) Heckman of Dixon; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
