Grace Still dies at 69

Mrs. Jacob (Grace Mabel) Still, 69, of Shannon City, died Friday at the Afton Care Center at Afton. She had lived in Union county all her married life until moving to Carroll in 1873. She returned to Union county in 1976.

Her funeral was held at 1:30 p.m. today at the Keating-lindsay funeral home. Chuck White officiated. Music was by Mrs. Jean Boyd, organist, who played " Nearer My God To Thee " and " Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." Casket bearers were Archie Ore, Louis Rose, Don Wilson, Don Hoyt, Robert Hoyt, and Carroll Motsinger. Burial was in Graceland cemetery here.

Grace M. Traster was born at Murry, Oct 29,1907. She was the daughter of William and Goldie Pierce Traster. She was married, Oct 17, 1930, to Jacob Still, who preceded her in death Aug 3,1955.

She is survived by two sons, Herman Still of St. Joseph, Mo., and Fred Still of Templeton; two daughters, Mrs. Glen (Opal) Hoyt of Shannon City and Mrs. Russell (Marjory) Zigler of Des Moines; 15 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; three brothers, Walter Traster and Doug traster, both of St. Joesph, Mo., and Clyde Traster of Of Omaha,Nebr., and Mrs. Maude Baker of Trenton,Mo. An infant daughter preceded her in death.

Mrs. Still had been employed in the former Swift & Co. plant in Creston.
