Injuries Fatal To Blanchard March 28,1936

Robert Blanchard, 59, who suffered serious injuries Monday afternoon when he was stuck by a car driven by W. D. Nissen of Creston, died at Greater Community hospital at 4:30 yesterday afternoon.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Saturday afternoon from the Christian church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. E. E. Lister. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. The body will remain at the Roland funeral home until time for the services.

Robert Leo Blanchard was born March 11, 1877, in Madison County, Iowa, the son of Orange and Elizabeth Blanchard. He moved to Creston 11 years ago.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Daisy Blanchard, 10 children, Allen Blanchard of Creston, Mrs. Myrtle Allen of Winterset, Mrs. Bertha Wiley of Creston, Mr. Margaret Needles of Creston, Mrs. Marie Perry of Fontanelle, Mrs. Irene Overholser of Creston, Alfred, Mildred, Mae, and Ray, all of the home; four brother, Billy and Ben of East Peru, Harmon of Osceola and Fred of Cromwell; two sisters, Mrs. Ann Zybath of Creston and Mrs. Sadie Wheeler of Riverside, Calif.; a step - son Luther Keller of Creston; three grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
