T.J.KinKennon Dies at Kent

Thomas J.KinKennon, 77, died suddenly at his home in Kent at noon Saturday had been in failing health for some time.
Mr. KinKennon had been employed by the Burlington railroad until 1948 when he retired after suffering an injury. He had been an Antique dealer since then
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Keating-Mc Kasson funeral home here, Rev. Dale Cunningham, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Thomas J. KinKennon was born in Adair Co, Iowa, near Panora, June 4,1893. He was the son of Levi and Sara Whited KinKennon. He was married in 1914 to Julia Johnston, who died in 1941
Mr.KinKennon is survived by six sons, Bernard KinKennon of China Lake, Calif, Richard (Pete) KinKennon, Leland KinKennon, and LeRoy KinKennon, all of Creston, Eugene C.KinKennon of Charleston Heights, S.C., and Byron KinKennon of China Lake, Calif, two daughters, Mrs. Delores Burt of Kent and Mrs. Fern Kohl of Creston; 20 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Whited of Creston and Mrs. Nettie Fairbanks of Guthrie Center; and two brothers, Frank KinKennon of Winterset and Benjamin KinKennon of Panora. He was preceded in death by four daughters, four sisters and two brothers.
