Leroy G. KinKennon, Creston

Leroy Gilbert KinKennon, 55, of 812 N. Sumner, Creston, died Friday evening at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines of cardiac arrest.

His funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Keating-Lindsay Funeral Home here. The Rev. John Pehrson, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Burial in Graceland Cemetery. Friends may call after 9 a.m. today.

Mr. KinKennon was born Jan 22,1930 to Thomas J. and Emma (nee Johnston) KinKennon. On Feb 18,1950, he married Regenia Chadwick in Creston. He was a lifetime resident of Creston and was an electrical contractor. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Creston Eagles Lodge 1398 being a past president and trustee for several years, and Creston Lodge No.605 BPOE.

Survivors include his wife, Regenia; a daughter, Mrs. Sherri L. Legge of Omaha; a son, James L. (wife Susan) KinKennon, LaVista, NE., three grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Delores Burt of Creston; and four brothers Brenard and Byron of Ridgecrest, Ca., and Richard (Pete) and Leland KinKennon of Creston.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, a brother and a grandson.

A memorial has been established to the Eagles Max Baer Heart Fund.
