Military Rites for Lloyd Burt

Funeral services for Lloyd Burt, who died August 6 at Des Moines VA hospital, were held August 8 from Bybee & Davis fueral home with Rev. James Larson officating. Burial was in Colubia cemetery. Military honors were accorded by Baty-Tucker Post 168,American Legion.

Pallbears were Lloyd Wright,Everett Bingham,Larry Heaberlin,George Heaberlin,Irvin Bingman,Virgle Hall. Mrs. Leon Miller, Solist was accompanied by Mrs. Owen Elliott. organist.

Lloyd Merle Burt, son of Zeph E. and Anna Belle Briggs Burt was born July 27,1913 in Marion county. On March 25,1950 he was united in marriage to Delores Kinkennon of Creston. They lived in Des Moines for 10 years and resently in Melcher.

Survivors include his wife;parents,five sisters Mrs. N.C. (Ruby) Ver Steeg, Mrs. Clarence (Velda) VandeKamp, Mrs. Ray (Bessie) Harger of Columbia, Mrs. G.W. (Helen) Heaberlin and Mrs. Earl (Edna) Cannon of Perry and one brother Cleo Burt of Roseburg,Ore.
