Verleta "Pat" Richardson

Verleta "Pat" Richardson, daughter of Ella (Reynolds) and Everette Franklin, was born July 5, 1926 in Adams County, Iowa. She graduated from Cromwell High School.

On July 29, 1945, she married D.V. "Del" Richardson in Rapid City, S.D. They lived for six years in Rapid City, where Pat worked for Sears, doing ad layouts. In 1951, they lived briefly in Bedford before settling in Creston. Pat was a homemaker and also an Avon representative. She was a member of the United Church of Christ (Congregational) of Creston, where she was active with the Ebay Club. She was also a member of the Creston Lady Elks, the Greater Regional Medical Center Auxiliary and volunteered for the Meals on Wheels and the Red Cross Bloodmobile Drives.

Survivors include her husband, D.V. "Del" of Creston; two sons, Larry (wife Dawn) of Creston and Roger (wife Karen) of Omaha, Ne.; four grandchildren, Megan (husband Jamie) Travis and Aaron (wife Malissa) Richardson, Doug and Eric Richardson; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Tristan, and Connor Travis; a brother, Russell (wife Elva) Franklin of Phoenix, Ariz. and a sister, Darlene (husband Gene) Foster of Ankeny. She was preceded in death by her parents.
