WAYNE W. CORNELISON, LORIMOR

Funeral services for Wayne W. Cornelison, 73, were held Mon., Sept. 23 at Watts-Lindsay Golden Rule Funeral Home, Lorimor, with the Rev. Duane Henrichs officiating. Mr. Cornelison died of a heart attack September 18 at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines.

Born September 8, 1918 in Madison County, he was the son of George G. and Tobitha Jane (Conard) Cornelison. He married Belma Bardoles July 15, 1976 in Camiling, Tarlac, Phillippines. Mr. Cornelison farmed in Clarke and Madison counties until 1950 and then lived in Prairie City, Lorimor and Las Vegas, Nev., returning to Lorimor in 1980. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for a construction company and attended the United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Surviving are his wife, two sons from his first marriage, Ronald E. and wife Ruby, of Creston and Lyle W., and wife Myrna of Hagerman, Idaho, two adopted step-children, Gerald and Jennifer de Leon of Camiling, Tarlac, Phillippines; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Burial was in Lorimor Cemetery. A memorial will be established in his name.
