J. CORNELISON DIES TODAY

John Edward Cornelison, 72, of 608 S. Poplar in Creston died at the Creston Care Centre early today. He had been sick a short time.

His funeral is to be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Keating-Lindsay Funeral Home with the Rev. Lester Pearson of the First Christian Church officiating.

Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery with the funeral home in charge.

Mr. Cornelison was a lifetime Creston resident. He was born here Dec. 17, 1907, to Joseph and Cora (Benson) Cornelison.

On March 9, 1935, he was married to Helen Skarda in Kent. They farmed in the area until 1976, when he retired.

He is survived by his wife, Helen; two sons, James Cornelison of Omaha and Robert Cornelison of Grove City, Pa., a brother George Cornelison of Creston; and two sisters, Helen (Mrs. James) Shadoan of Summerset, Ky., and Irene (Mrs. Max) Rice of Nevinville.

Mr. Cornelison was a member of the First Christian Church and the Lions Club.

A memorial has been established to the First Christian Church.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
