RITES MONDAY FOR CORA CORNELISON

Funeral services for Mrs. Cora Dell Cornelison, a lifetime resident of Ringgold and Union counties, will be held at the First Christian church here at 2 p.m. Monday. Rev. Lloyd D. Bensmiller will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery. Her body will lie in state at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday. The casket will not be opened after the services.

Her family will be at the Keating and Beemer funeral home from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday.

Mrs. Cornelison, 74, died at the Greater Community hospital shortly before noon Friday. She had been ill for about two months.

Cora Dell Benson was born in Ringgold county, Feb. 11, 1883. She was the daughter of John P. and Fanny Uglow Benson. She was married in 1907, at her parents farm near Diagonal, to Joseph C. Cornelison. They moved in that year to a farm 7 miles south of Creston on the Hi and Dry road, where they lived until moving into Creston in 1938. Mr. Cornelison died Oct. 26, 1948.

Mrs. Cornelison is survived by two sons, John and George, both of Creston; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Shadoan of Hyattsville, Md., and Mrs. Irene Rice of Creston; nine grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mayme Pine of Diagonal; and two brothers, Ed Benson of Diagonal and James A. Benson of Batesville, Ark.

She was a member of the Christian church here. Here home was at 303 North Pine Street.
