Mrs. Roland Bogar
Dies Here Today

Mrs. Roland L. Bogar, 58, of Creston, died at the Greater Community hospital here at 10 a.m. today after a short illness. Her home was at 300 south Division street.

Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian church here at 2 p.m. Monday. Rev. John E. Klein will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery. Her body will be at McGregor Brothers and Coens funeral home until time of the services.

Helen Sophia Hanson was born in Creston, October 5, 1892, and lived here all her life. She was the daughter of Charles and Wilhelmina Swanson Hanson. She was married at Corning, April 22, 1912 to Roland L. Bogar.

Mrs. Bogar was a member of the Presbyterian church, a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary unit, and a member of the Burlington Veterans Auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, William Bogar at Lincoln, Nebr., and Charles Bogar at home; two daughters, Helen Claire of San Francisco, Calif., and Carolyn of Sidney, Ia.; five sisters, Josephine Anderson and Edna Peterson of Milwaukee, Wis., Amanda Olsen of Wampaca, Wis., Emma Carlson of Chicago, Ill., and Hilda Hostetter of New York City; and one brother, Ralph Hanson of Ames, Ia.
