Bert H. Miller, 70 Dies Following Long Illness

Funeral services were held for Bert H. Miller, 70, of Creston, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the First Christian church in Creston, with Rev. Traverce Harrison officiating. Burial was in Greenlawn cemetery here.

Mr. Miller who lived at 1004 West Jefferson St., Creston had been ill for the past 12 years. He passed away at 9:15 a.m. last Thursday, August 22nd. (1968)

Bert H. Miller was born Aug. 20, 1898, in Union County, the son of J.T. Miller and Mary Kingery Miller. He was married on January 16, 1919, in Creston, to Fern Davis, who survives. He followed the farming occupation until 1945.

Survivors include his widow, two sons, Carroll of Los Angeles and Earl of Des Moines, and a daughter, Mrs. Vera Marie Clements of California; a brother, Lonnie Miller of Lorimor; and three sisters, Olive DeFord, of Mountain Home, Ark., Carrie Stradley of Shannon City and Mona Jackson of California.
