McCafferty--Dec. 13, 1880, Harry son, of Wm. And Vashti McCafferty, of diphtheria, aged 10 years. By this bereavement Brother and Sister McCafferty are left childless. Only a week before Harry died, Clara, their only daughter, died……….Harry was informed that he could not live, ,he called the friends around him and bade them good bye, and asked them to get him in heaven.

This obituary clipping was found in an old Bible belonging to Ford Barnes, near Kent, IA.
