February 16, 1899 (Thursday)Page 6, Column 3 in the “Cromwell” column:
“Married – At high noon, February 16, 1899, at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Baker, Miss Louise Baker and Louie Harrison. The marriage ceremony performed by Rev. J. T. Mumford. It was a pretty, quiet, home wedding, none but the immediate relatives being present. This marriage unites two of our very best young people. They will live on the Koehler farm, Mr. Harrison having recently bought that farm. Their many friends wish them all the happiness possible to come to human beings. May God add His blessings and keep them in the hollow of His hand.” END
“Lou Harrison and bride took dinner with Mr. Stahlnecker’s Friday.”

“Married, at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Baker, on February 16, 1899, at high noon, their only daughter [Louise Baker] to Louie Harrison, Rev. J. T. Mumford of Cromwell Congregational church officiating. This estimable couple grew up in this locality and their lives all along their pathway speaks far better than words can express. A host of friends wish them much joy and happiness. Mr. Harrison has purchased the Koehler property, so after the 7th of March they will be at home to their many friends.” END
