LONGTIME RESIDENT BURIED AT TOLEDO
Toledo, IA., Oct 7, - Mrs. J. S. Moore, a resident of Toledo continuously for 69 years and Toledo’s longest resident was buried here Tuesday. Mrs. Moore died Saturday evening after a brief illness at the age of 89 years. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon by W. L. Alexander, of Traer, former Toledo pastor. Her husband, Jonathan S. Moore, died in 1915. Mr. Moore was engaged in the photograph business in this city from 1861 until his death. The business has since been carried on by his son, W. F. Moore.
Mrs. Moore is survived by seven children, all of whom were in attendance at the funeral services with the exception of Clifford, Selma, Ala. The other children are: Mrs. Alice C. Moore, Atlanta, Ga; Mrs. A. D. Bowen, Tacoma, Wash; Ward H. Moore, Pueblo, Colo; Mrs. James T. Inge, Mobile, Ala; and Mrs. R. F. Watts, Des Moines.
