Services were held Monday, May 17 for Darlo Delbert Flowers, 67, from the Harrison Funeral Home, Tama, at 2 p.m. Rev. Curtis Miller, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Tama, officiated. Mrs. Lloyd Strine, organist, played selected hymns, "Going Home," and "Precious Lord." Joan Yuska and Helen McClure were in charge of the floral tributes. Burial was made in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Toledo, with the following as casket bearers: Melvin Yuska, Charles Hardgrove, James Sorensen, Harold McClure, Donald Hayek and Harley Mikkelson.
Mr. Flowers was born July 10, 1908 in Watertown, S. Dak., the son of Arthur and Louise (Boldt) Flowers and died at his home, 508 S. Elm, Toledo, Thursday, May 13, 1976.
He was married to Della Crabtree, December 18, 1940 and three children were born to this union. He lived in the Tama-Toledo area all his life and was owner and operator of a truck line. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Trudy) Jacobs of Elkhart, Ind., Mrs. Darla Kvidera of Vincetown, N.J., and a son, Arthur Flowers of Sedalia, Mo., and one sister and four brothers.
