Funeral services were held on Friday, July 23 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hampton with burial in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in rural Hampton.Vicar Phillip Callahan and Rev. Marvin Lorenz officiated the service.

Esther Leona Early, 94, of Hampton, passed away July 20, 2010, at the Sheffield Care Center in Sheffield. She was born on November 6, 1915, in Hampton to William and Augusta (Meyer) Burmester. Esther graduated from Hampton High School in 1933.

She was united in marriage to Donald Early on March 24, 1937, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hampton. Esther was a homemaker and worked at numerous local retail stores until she retired in 1979. She was a very active member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hampton and was also a member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church. Esther had been a resident at the Sheffield Care Center in Sheffield for seventeen years.

She is survived by her son Bruce (Delores) Early of Traer, four grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents William and Augusta, husband Donald, son Roger, grandson Duane Foumal, brother Arthur Burmester, sister Luella Johansen and sister-in-law Maurine Burmester.
