CLUTIER - Private family services will be held Friday, September 7, 2007 for Pauline Mochal, 94, of Cedar Falls and Hudson, formerly of Clutier, at the Overton Funeral Home in Traer. There will be no visitation. Burial will be at Buckingham Cemetery, Traer.
Pauline died on Monday, Sept. 3, 2007 at Bickford Cottage in Cedar Falls due to complications of Alzheimers.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice, Kimball Ave, Waterloo, Iowa.
Mary Pauline Mochal was born Feb. 12, 1913 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, daughter of James Earl Johnston and Mary Jeannette Hunter. She received her education in the Fort Dodge Schools where she graduated in 1931. On March 31, 1939 she was united in marriage to Leonard W. Mochal. Pauline worked as a secretary in Fort Dodge and Des Moines until moving to the Mochal farm near Clutier in 1949. She was a homemaker until returning to work at Twin Cities Insurance in Toledo in 1962 from where she retired in 1978. She moved from the farm to Hudson in 1989 and to Bickford Cottage in Cedar Falls in 2005.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard and sisters, Mildred and Helen.
She is survived by a son Wally Mochal and daughter-in-law Noreen of Cedar Falls and two grandchildren.
Overton Funeral Home, Traer, is in charge of the arrangements.
