Born September 3, 1867.
Entered into Rest December 11, 1944.
Services Held at The Haven Church Thursday, December 14, 1944 at 2:30 pm.
Edgar was the son of Joseph D & Isabella Myers Smith in Richland township, section 14, Tama County Iowa near Haven. He attended Richland Creek school.
Edgar was united in marriage to Stella Anne Flint, daughter of Jeduthan C Flint and Abigail Rector Flint, on March 14,1894.
In 1920 they purchased a house in Tama on Siegel, across from the high school. Edgar continued to farm and drove back and forth to town.
The couple celebrated their 50th anniversary in March.
He is survived by three daughters, Eula (Ralph) Horrigan, Gladys (Talbert) Hill and Vira (Harry) Chadek.
Clergyman was Rev Warren L. Feller, Pastor Methodist Church in Tama, Iowa.
Music by Ben Jones, Soloist and Mrs Ben Jones, Pianist.
