Clifford C. Shuler, age 91, of Tama died on Thursday, June 7, 2007, at Grandview Acres in Toledo due to a sudden illness. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 11, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Rev. Bobby Shomo officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Montour. Visitation will be Sunday, June 10, 2007 from 5-8 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama.
Clifford C. Shuler was born on October 7, 1915, in Highland Township, Tama County, the son of Casper J. and Mary (Brotz) Shuler.
He was united in marriage to Anna Sieck on February 25, 1936 in rural Tama. Anna preceded him in death in 1990. Clifford then married Joan on June 29, 1991 in Tama.
He farmed his entire life on the family farmstead, which he enjoyed thoroughly. He also liked playing cards and spending time with his dogs.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife Anna; four brothers; and five sisters.
Survivors include his wife Joan of Tama; one daughter, Margaret (Larry) Wiese of Altoona; step-children, Tim (Kristi) Sieck of Montour and Lindsay (Craig) Kajer of Toledo; two grandchildren, Randy (Denise) Wiese and Shelly (Doug) Sandquist; four step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and one step great-great granddaughter.
A memorial fund has been established.
