OBITUARY

EUGENE SWANSON

Funeral services for Eugene A. Swanson, 59, of Traer, and formerly of Waterloo were held Wednesday, Dec. 21, 1994, at Locke Funeral Home in Waterloo.

Eugene died Sunday, Dec. 18, 1994, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a heart attack.

He was born March 14, 1935, at Independence, Iowa, the son of Bert and Irene (Pittman) Swanson. On May 28, 1954, he was married to Rosiva Reeves in Waterloo.

Eugene retired as general maintenance supervisor in 1991 after 30 years of employment with John Deere Waterloo foundry.

He was preceded in death by his father, one sister, Joy Howard and two step-brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Rosiva of 2920 150th St., Traer; his mother of Waterloo; three sons, Gene Swanson and Steve Swanson, both of Waterloo; Dan Swanson of Rosemount, MN; one daughter, Susan Bock of Mt. Vernon, IA; eight grandchilderen and one brother, Larry Swanson of Cedar Falls.
