OBITUARY

Myrna H. (Pecenka) Strohbehn was born February 12, 1919 near Toledo, Iowa the daughter of Frank and Leola (Randall) Pecenka. She attended school and graduated from Geneseo School. Myrna then continued her education at Gates Business College in Waterloo.

On June 19. 1940 she was united in marriage to Ralph Strohbehn at the Geneseo United Methodist Church. Ralph and Myrna made their home on the Strohbehn family farm where they continued to live into their retirement. In 1990 they moved to make their home at 5804 Blue Sage Road in Waterloo.

More recently Myrna has been a patient at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo where her death came on Thursday, March 23, 2000 at the age of 81 years.

In free moments Myrna enjoyed making dolls, crocheting, making crafts, gardening and tending to her flowers. Myrna also enjoyed fishing and playing bridge.

Myrna is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters and a grandson.

She is survived by her husband Ralph, a son Daryl (Cathy) Strohbehn of Boone, Iowa, three daughters; Sydney Strohbehn of Waterloo, Carolyn (Mrs. Dick) Dinsdale of Traer and Gale Strohbehn of Waterloo, a sister, Pat Gramenz of Waterloo, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
