OBITUARY

LeRoy F. Staker was born March 30, 1924 in rural Tama County, near Traer, Iowa; the son of Herman and Dora (Nessler) Staker. LeRoy attended school at the Dinsdale and Geneseo schools.

On October 10, 1943 he was united in marriage to Glenniss M. Schoonover at the United Methodist Church at Dysart, Iowa.

They then made their home in Traer where LeRoy was employed for Ray Holst Implement, Cooper and Dalziel at the Traer Sale Bam, the City of Traer and retired from Wieck Bros. Oil Company in 1986.

LeRoy's death came on Wednesday, September 11, 1996 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo at the age of 72 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Wayne.

He is survived by his wife Glenniss, three sons and their wives; Larry and Betty Staker and Garry and Ardene Staker both of Traer, and Gregory and Denise Staker of La Porte City, Iowa, two sisters; Bernice ( Mrs. Art) Manfull and Marlys (Mrs. John) Vesley both of Traer, seven grandchildren, one step-granddaughter and six great-grandchildren.

Following the service family and friends are Invited to attend the luncheon at the Traer Country Club.
