OBITUARY

Ida R. Snyder was born June 6, 1893, in Blain, PA, daughter of William A. and Catherine (Mumper) Kline. Ida received her education in a country school in Blain and married David H. Snyder on December 9, 1914 at Blain, PA. They made their home in Blain, where David was employed as a carpenter.

After David's death on April 10, 1920, Ida moved with her family to Waaterloo, Iowa, where she was employed as a housekeeper. Ida also made her home in California for a time, then returned to Waterloo.

The past two years Ida has been a resident of Sun rise Hill Care Center in Traer, where she died Tuesday evening, March 3, 1987, at the age of 93 years.

In her spare time, she enjoyed making quilts and traveling.

She was a member of the Ripley United Church of Christ.

Ida was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son Robert, three brothers, seven sisters and one grandson.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ted (Irma) Weaver of Traer, one sister, Mary Patterson of Pittsburg, PA, as well as eight grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
