OBITUARY
Anna Marie Fund was born March 26, 1918 at Traer, Iowa the daughter of Fred and Anna (Madera) Novotny. Annie attended school at Traer and graduated from Traer High School in the Class of 1936. She continued her education at Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. She then taught country school at Crystal No. 5 until 1939.
On October 2, 1939 she was united in marriage to Joseph A. Rund and they made their home farming near Toledo before moving to a farm northwest of Traer where they made their home for 33 years.
Annie was also employed as a food service supervisor at Schoitz Hospital in Waterloo for ten years.
Joe and Annie retired to their home at 706 Crestview Drive in 1974 and spent winter months in Scottsdale, Arizona. Joe and Annie enjoyed entertaining family and friends.
After Joe's death on February 14, 1991 she continued to make her home in Traer. Annie's death came in Traer on Tuesday, ,July 23, 1996 at the age of 78 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters; Matilda Kolpek, Christinie Wobeter and Phyllis Zmolek.
She is survived by one son Gene and his wife Bev Rund of Traer and one daughter Jan (Mrs. Terry) Rogers of Lake Tahoe, NV, five grandchildren; Brad, Mark, Rita, Christine and Logan and two great grandchildren, Brittany and Brooke.
