OBITUARY

AGNES K. PETERZALEK

A Funeral Mass for Agnes K. Peterzalek, 91, of Sunrise Hill Care and Rehab Center in Traer and formerly of Clutier, was celebrated Monday morning, Dec. 6, 1999, at Immaculate Conception Church in Clutier with Father John Tilp as celebrant. Burial was in Oneida Cemetery, rural Clutier.

A vigil service was held at Overton Funeral Home in Traer, Sunday at 5:00 pm.

Agnes died Thursday, Dec. 2, 1999, at Sunrise Hill Care Center following an extended illness.

A memorial fund has been established.

Music for the funeral service was provided by Pat Sauer, organist.

Casket bearers were Lyle Sienknecht, Joe Topinka, Robert Eisele, Gary Pearson, Duane Untiedt, and Jim Sienknecht.

Agnes Katherine Peterzalek was born May 19, 1908, in Tama County, the daughter of William and Katherine (Rayman) Wobeter. She received her education in country school and later graduated from Traer High School in the Class of 1926. She received her normal training in Traer and taught country school north of Clutier.

On Aug. 14, 1928, Agnes married William Peterzalek at Clutier and the couple made their home in Traer for a time before residing in other various communities in Iowa. During that time Agnes was employed as a bookkeeper and William managed a bulk fuel operation. They also owned a garage in Clutieer for 40 years.

She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clutier.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

She is survived by her husband, William, a resident of Sunrise Hill Care and Rehab Center in Traer.

Overton Family Funeral Homes-Traer was in charge of arrangements.
