OBITUARY

Harry A. McKinney was born April 8, 1925, at Houston, Missouri, son of Harvey and Lenora [Dabney] McKinney. He received his education in a country school at Houston andin 1940 moved to make his home with his brother Robert near Dinsdale.

On December 24, 1945, Harry married Dorothy Mae Stueben at Rolla, Missouri, and they made their home In Traer. Harry then served his country during World War II in the Army and after his discharge returned to the Traer area. He and Mae made their home northwest of Traer, where they farmed all their married life.

In the past few years, Harry's health failed and on January 13, 1989, he entered the Marshalltown hospital and was later transferred to the University Hospitals in Iowa City, where he died Tuesday evening, January 31, 1989 at the age of 63 years.

In his spare time, Harry enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Traer American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Sammy Russell In 1948, one brother Robert, and three sisters Snoda, Clara and Josie.

He is survived by his wife Mae of Traer; one son Michael of Traer; two daughters Patricia McKinney and Mrs. Doug [Cynthia] Forbes, both of Traer and four grandchildren, Matthew and Ryan McKinney and Jacob and Jenna Forbes.
