OBITUARY

Patricia J. McElhinney was born July 9, 1925, in Manhattan, IL, daughter of Lawrence and Dorothy [Krueger] Peterson. Patricia
attended school In Manhattan and later attended Joliet High School, from which she graduated. Patricia continucd her education at Bowling Green University in Bowling Green, Ohio, and graduated from there with a degree in psychology.

Patricia then worked near Chicago and San Francisco where she was employed as a sales person, counselor and clerk typist. She then moved to Detroit, Mich., where she was employed as an orthoptic technician for one of the world's leading eye specialists.

On Feb. 20, 1955, Patricia married Warren McElhinney in the Methodist Church In Birmingham, Mich. They made their home in the Birmingham area for 17 years and then five years In New Orleans, where Warren was employed as an engineer.

In 1975 Warren and Patricia moved to the family farm near Dysart. In recent years, Patricia's health failed and she died at her home Saturday, Feb. 2, 1985, at the age of 59 years.

She Is survived by her husband Warren; one son Mark of Minneapolis, Minn.; one daughter Nancy Tumath of Evansdale, Iowa: her father, Lawrence Peterson of Joliet, IL, one sister Nancy Radakovich of Joliet, IL., as well as two grandchildren.
