OBITUARY
ARTHUR LUNDAK
Funeral services for Arthur Lundak, 94, of Traer, are scheduled for St. Paul Catholic Church in Traer at 10:30 a.m, Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998. Burial will be in the St. Paul Catholic Cemetery. Visitation at Overton Family Funeral Home in Traer will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, with the family present from 5 to 8 p.m. A scripture service will be held at 7 p,m, that evening.Arthur Lundak died Monday, Nov. 2, 1998 at Sunrise Hill Care Center, Traer of an extended illness. Officiating at the funeral service will be the Rev. John Tilp. Organist will be Pat Sauer. Serving on the flower committee are Pat Kvidera, Sally Sevcik and LuMae Podhajsky. Casket bearers are Gary Kupka, Stanley Dostal, Lester Sevcik, John Kvidera, Robert Podhajsky and Marvin Seda. Honorary casket bearers are Milo Podhajsky, Richard Podhajsky, Lester Podhajsky, Leonard Dostal, Ralph Kvidera and Donald Podhajsky.
Arthur Rudy Lundak was born April 17, 1904 at Vining, Iowa, the son of Frank and Antonia (Liskovic) Lundak. Art received his education in Vining. He then worked as a carpenter and in farming.
On Nov. 22, 1932, Art was united in marriage to Louise Podhajsky at Holy trinity Catholic Church near Vining. The couple made their home on the Fred Kalina farm south of Vining until 1946. They then lived and worked in Waterloo for a time before retiring to Traer in 1968.
Art kept busy manageing the Lundak Mobile Home Park for his son, until ailing health required him to become a resident of Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Louise, of Traer; two sons, Frank Lundak of Traer and Harry Lundak of Waterloo; eight grandchidren 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
