OBITUARY
Amalia "Molly" Larsen was born February 15, 1912 at Howells, Nebraska; the daughter of Joe and Frances (Kutin) Hledik. Following the death of her parents she made her home near Howells on a farm until the age of 13 when she moved to make her home with her sister at Traer, Iowa. Molly received her education at Traer and then began working at the Dry Cleaning Shop.
On November 29.1942 she was united in marriage to Tom Larsen at the Little Brown Church at Nashua, Iowa. Tom and Molly made home in Traer where they operated the dry cleaning business in Traer, Dysart, Reinbeck and later Tama. They also operated the Traer Theater for many years.
After Tom's death in 1970 she continued to reside in Traer and on December 18, 1995 she became a resident of the Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer. Molly's death came at the care center on Wednesday, December 24, 1997 at the age of 85 years. She was a member of the St. Luke Lutheran Church, and Traer American Legion Auxiliary.
In free moments she enjoyed crocheting. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tom, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
She is survived by two sons and their wives; Larry and Betty Larsen of Traer and Paul and Kris Larsen of Chattanooga, Tennessee, five grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Following the service family and friends are invited to attend the luncheon at the St. Luke Lutheran Church.
