OBITUARY
Funeral services for Agnes Kahler, 83, of Traer, were held Saturday, Jan. 4, at Overton Funeral Home in Traer at 2 p. m. with the Rev. Dean Williams and the Rev. Glenn Dieken officiating. Interment was in West Union Cemetery, rural Traer.
She died Wednesday, Jan. I, at Covenant Medical Center-St. Francis. Casket bearers at the service were Jon Kahler, Kenneth Degner, Dennis Mason, Chuck Kahler. LaVern Kahler and Richard Cooper. On the flower committee were Mrs. Dennis Mason and Mrs. Richard Cooper.
Agnes Kahler was born September 6. 1902 at Winona, Minn., the daughter of James and Fannie (Brunal) Kordina. She moved to Iowa where she was raised by Mr. and Mrs. Jim Hadachek and received her education in rural Clutier.
Agnes married Louis Kahler in 1920 and they made their home farming near Traer and Gladbrook. After Louis' death on January 19, 1976, Agnes continued making her home on the farm and only recently was admitted to the hospital. Agnes was a member of the United Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother, Jim. She is survived by nephews, nieces and cousins.
