OBITUARY
Nellie Eunice Hulme was born August 17, 1906, near Brooklyn, IA, daughter of Ora and Fannie (Gray) Lyman. At an early age Nellie moved with her parents to Tama, Iowa, where she received her education.
On August 20, 1926, she married Merritt Hulme at Carroll, Iowa, and Nellie and Merritt farmed most of therir married life on their farm northwest of Traer.
In recent months Nellie had been suffering from ill health and recently was admitted to Schoitz Memorial Hospital at Waterloo, Iowa, where she died Friday morning, August 16, 1977, at the age of 71 years and nine days.
Nellie was a member of the Amity United Presbyterian Church and was preceded in death by her infant son.
She is survived by her husband Merritt, one son Allen of Traer, five daughters, Mrs. Dean (Corrine) Mauderer of Traer, Mrs. Clifford (Marion) Downing of Renick, MO, Mrs. Grover (Velma) Hackett of Huntsville, MO, Mrs. Duane (Carol) Winterroth of Vinton, Mrs. Doris Hamilton of Clutier; two brothers, Marlin Lyman of Newton, Iowa, and Forest Lyman of Marshalltown, IA; two sisters, Mrs. Vera Requet of Rock Island, IL, and Mrs. Jessie Ross of Toledo, IA. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
