OBITUARY

Lucille Marie Harrington was born on March 4, 1927 in rural Clutier, IA; the daughter of Fred and Emma (Benda) Cizek. She attended country school near Traer, IA and graduated from Traer High School in 1943. On April 8, 1947 she married James Pavelka at St. Paul Catholic Church in Traer and made their home in Traer, Dysart and Toledo. After James’s death in January 7, 1978, she continued to live in Traer. On November 20, 1981 Lucille married James L. Harrington at St. Paul Catholic Church in Traer and they made their home in Waterloo, Iowa. In the past two months Lucille’s heath had failed when her death came on Wednesday, May 22, 1996 in her home at the age of 69 years. She enjoyed playing cards and bowling. Lucille was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Waterloo and Traer American Legion Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Pavelka and her sister Dorothy. Lucille is survived by her husband James Harrington of Waterloo, a son; Dennis and his wife Sharon Pavelka of Des Moines, IA; two daughters; Nancy ( Mrs. John) Kehoe of Waterloo IA and Beverly (Mrs. Charles) Dinsdale of Tampa, FL, a step son; Dan Harrington of Waterloo, two step daughters; Kathy Poyner of Waterloo, IA and Cindy Krist of Moline, IL, two brothers; Fred Cizek of Traer, IA and Carl Chizek of Clutier, IA, three sisters; Mildred Halupnick of Hudson, IA, Pauline Reinberg of Keystone, IA and Marge Severin also of Keystone, IA. Three grandchildren and six step grandchildren.

Following the service family and friends are invited to attend the luncheon at St. Paul’s Parish Hall.
