Beatrice A. Stammer was born January 23, 1925 in Hominy, Oklahoma the daughter of Ralph and Nana (Bozarth) Robinson. She received her education in Hominy and graduated from high school in 1943. She met her husband Lester when he was in the Army in Pawuska, Oklahoma and they married January 24, 1946 at Austin, Minnesota. They made their home most of their married life in the Traer area where Bea was a waitress and cook in area restaurants. Bea later was the dietician at the Harmony House in Hudson, Iowa until her retirement in 1990. Following Lester’s death in February of 1998, Bea continued to live in Traer. More recently Bea had been in failing health and her death came on Sunday, June 9,2002 at the age of 77 years. In free moments Bea enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards and spending time with her family. She was active in the Ripley United Church of Christ and a 50-year member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She also was a willing helper in many community activities. Bea is preceded in death by her husband Lester; one daughter Jeannette Ann; eleven brothers and sisters. She is survived by three daughters; Sarah Stock of Traer, Iowa, Henrietta (Mrs. Kenny) Tharp of Vinton, Iowa, Linn (Mrs. Mike) Neal of Reinbeck, Iowa; one son, Bruce and his wife Kathy of Traer, Iowa; one sister Nancy Pipes of Bozzier City, Louisiana; twelve grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.

Immediately following the service, family and friends are invited to a luncheon in the church fellowship hall.
