Obituary
Robert Logan Jr. was born August 31, 1919 near Traer, Iowa, the son of Robert and Grace (Powell) Logan. He attended country school and Traer High School. Bob then moved to California and attended aeronautical school. On November 2, 1940 he was united in marriage to Helen Winter at Yuma, Arizona, and they then returned to Traer to the family farm. Bob entered the US Army in 1944 and fought in the Battle of the Bulge in Germany. Following his discharge in 1946 he returned to Traer where he worked in the auto repair field. Bob later owned and operated Logan’s Body Shop for 35 years. He also drove a school bus for North Tama as well as Cedar Falls School systems. In 1980 Bob and Helen moved to make their home in Cedar Falls. In free moments he enjoyed his family, hunting and fishing. In recent months Bob’s health had failed and he was a patient at Covenant Skilled Care Center when his death came on Thursday, June 22, 2000 at the age of 80 years. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Dean, two sisters Rachael Wilson and Marcella Cavin and a grandson Gregory Sternberg. He is survived by his wife Helen, two sons; Greg Logan of Baffin Island, Nunavut Territory, Canada and Thomas Logan of Traer, two daughters; Pam (Mrs. John) Stemberg of Newton, IA and Laurie (Mrs. Gary) Richter of Reinbeck, IA, a sister, Mrs. Jessie Tucker of Marshalltown, IA, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Immediately following the funeral service family and friends are invited to he church fellowship hall for a time of food and fellowship with the family.
