Milo H. Husak

Milo H. “Mike” Husak was born March 9,1923 at Clutier, Iowa the son of Frank K and Frances (Dedic) Husak. Mike received his education in country school in Carroll #6. He then worked as a hired hand on the farm for Frank Sevcik from 1938 until he entered the US Army. Following his discharge on July 13,1949 Mike returned to farming and was a hired hand for Joe Podhajski for many years. In the early 1980’s Mike made his home and managed the Golden Door Motel for Delbert and Betty Boldt. In 1993 Mike moved to the Veteran Home in Marshalltown where he enjoyed his stay. This past week Mike was transferred to the VA Medical Center in Iowa City where he died Monday, March 10, 2003 at the age of 79 years. He was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Clutier, the Kubik- Finch Post #142 in Traer and was a 70 member of Branch #130 Catholic Workman. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, one brother John and a sister in infancy.
