OBITUARY

PAUL HOWARD

Funeral services for Paul W. Howard, 50, of Traer were held Wednesday, June 7, 1995, at the Traer United Methodist Church with burial in Buckingham Cemetery, rural Traer.

Paul died Sunday, June 4, 1995, at his farm of an apparent heart attack.

The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. Marshall Monthei with Joleen Edwards, organist and Wayne Dunlavey, vocalist.

Active casket bearers were Richard Rickert, Tom Waller, Wilfred Yuska, Mike Nail, Brian Morrison and Shawn Neidick. Honorary bearers included Jeff Taylor, Kirk Jensen, Craig Jensen, Chad Jensen, Paul Peters, Mike Macri and Mark Tomlinson.

Floral tributes were tended to by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pritchard and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pritchard.

Paul Wayne Howard was born Dec. 29, 1944, near Traer, Iowa, the son of Gerald and Marcella (Wilkinson) Howard. He graduated from Geneseo High School in 1963 and then began farming.

He was united in marriage to Marcia Karkosh on Aug. 14, 1965, at the Geneseo United Methodist Church. Paul and Marcia made their home farming and Paul also drove truck for Whannel Trucking in Traer.

He also worked for Holst Implement and sold farm equipment for Ron Mason in Marshalltown. Paul sold Mooreman feed and later owned and operated TPR feeds.

In free moments, Paul enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed working with his livestock.

He was preceded in death by one son, Cory Wayne on Oct. 15, 1969.

Paul is survived by his wife Marcia; two sons, Todd and his wife, Kim, and Jammie, all of Traer; his parents, Gerald and Marcella Howard, also of Traer; one sister, Mrs. Gerald (Kay) Edleman of Mt. Vernon, Iowa and one granddaughter.

Overton Family Funeral Home-Traer was in charge of arrangements.
