DANKER, Lois A (1935 - 1989)

OBITUARY

Lois A DANKER was born July 5, 1935, at Grinnell, Iowa, daughter of Homer and Mae (STAHL) SEARS. In 1939, Lois moved with her family to northeast of Traer where she attended Geneseo School, graduating in the class of 1954. On October 16, 1954, she was married to William DANKER at the Geneseo Methodist Church. They made their home for a time in Georgia while Bill Served in the military, later returning to Traer. In 1956, Lois and Bill moved to her parents’ farm northeast of Traer and in 1960 moved to make their home east of Treaer where they have farmed. In recent months, Lois’ heath failed and she was a patient at Covenant Medical Center-Kimbalt, where she died Thursday, October 19, 1989, at the age of 54 years. Lois was a member of the Ripley United Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Edgar and one sister Ruth TEMPLE. She is survived by her husband William of Traer; two sons John and David, both of Traer; three brothers Donald SEARS of Grinnell, Iowa, Arthur SEARS of Hiawatha, Kansas, and Kenneth SEARS of La Porte City; three sisters Mrs. Rhoda (Keith) WILKINSON of Sumner, Iowa, Mrs. Dorothy (DEAN) ELLIOTT of Dysart, and Mrs. Wilma (Norman) HOLUB of Buckingham, and many nieces and nephews.
