Randall CHRISTENSEN

Randall Leon CHRISTENSEN, 43, of 3502 Dewitt Road, Hudson, died Jan. 26, 1997, of injuries received in a two-vehicle accident on Highway 63 south of Hudson.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 1997, at St. Mary’s of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Eagle Center, with burial in Hudson Cemetery. Freinds may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Oppold-Hagarty Funeral Home in Waterloo, where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Thursday at the church.

Randall CHRISTENSEN was born June 22, 1953, in Waterloo, the son of Leon and Dorothy (SCHLICHT) CHRISTENSEN. He married Sara BEENKEN in November 1973 and they were later divorced. On Aug. 14, 1990, in Waterloo he married Karla SARGENT-OSSMAN.

He was a 1971 graduate of Grundy Center High School and attended Hawkeye Institute of Technology for two years. He served with the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and was currently employed as a lineman for U. S. West.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Emil and Lois SCHLICHT and paternal grandparents, Eckhardt and Eleanor CHRISTENSEN.

Randall is survived by his wife, Karla; one son, Ryan R. at home; one daughter, KyLee CHRISTENSEN at home; his parents of Blessing; one brother, Michael of Dike and two sisters, Jolene EIKLENBORG of Parkersburg and Angela MACAL of La Porte City.
