Rosetta Margaret Eckhardt was born October 1, 1912 at Lincoln, Iowa; the daughter of Harry and Emma (Boldt) Dahms.

Rosetta received her education in Montour and graduated from Montour High School. On December 11, 1938 she was united in marriage to Robert Eckhardt at the Little Brown Church at Nashua, Iowa. Bob and Rosetta made their home farming many years west of Traer and later in Geneseo Township. In 1977 they moved to Traer and made their home at 638 Woodlawn Street.

Following Bob’s death on November 15, 1984 she continued to live in Traer until moving to Manchester, Iowa to be near her daughter Judy. She was a resident of the Good Neighbor Home at Manchester where she resided at the time of her death on Saturday, November 5, 1994 at the age of 82 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, one brother Robert and one sister Marlys.

She is survived by two daughter; July (Mrs. Bob) Shaw of Manchester and Mona (Mrs. James ) Hart of Aurora, Colorado, two brothers; Arlo Dahms and Richard Dahms both of Traer, Iowa, one sister Loretta Eatenton of Brandon, Miss. And six grandchildren.
